I am used for Windows 7, and i bought on my Toshiba laptop and since i have an installed on my UltraISO software. When i right cilck on the .iso file and go to Ultraiso > Mount to drive appears when i don't change the drive but it is unmounted. I can go to Start and then Shut down > Log off appears and back to the normal startup again, and you may see a blue question mark over my drive when i click on the My Computer icon on Windows 7. Any problem to fix this drive to do it?

Yes, there is a problem with the drive. It seems like the UltraISO software is not able to properly mount the CD drive, resulting in an unmounted drive with a blue question mark. This issue needs to be fixed in order to successfully mount the drive.

I have a damaged ISO which can't be run due to a break in DVD video structure not allowing me to watch the movie on a physical copy of the disk. Can I rip the video files themselves?

R
Svar fra Robert Polubinski

Yes, the software can open damaged ISO files, but it can open them up to a point where the important headers are still in the right place. For example, UltraISO will open the image file but it won't allow copying for all the files contained in the package. Try extracting only the files that are still healthy and then you can rip them using another software to another format.

UltraISO features a function called Super Restore. This allows you to take advantage of the repair headers that are automatically added when the image was previously created. With a bit of luck you could turn the ISO file 100 % complete allowing you to extract it without problems.

When I tried to access contents of an ISO I downloaded, I got the message "Invalid or unknown file format". What does it mean and how to access my files?

R
Svar fra Robert Polubinski

This message indicates that UltraISO is unable to open selected image because it's not compatible or the image has been corrupted to a level that's practically impossible to access the contents. At this point you will have to obtain the image file again and then try to open it in UltraISO one more time. UltraISO has a recovery feature called Super Restore, but if that's not working properly, then you still have to obtain the image file again.

UltraISO keeps telling me 'Disk capacity overflow' when I try to make an image. I select 6GB of data and want to create a DVD ISO.

R
Svar fra Robert Polubinski

That means you are trying to burn 6 GB of data to a DVD that doesn't have enough free space. For that image size, you will need a Dual Layer disc. I recommend using Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5 GB. This disc is more than enough to write that amount of data. After you acquire this DVD, insert it and then add the data. Make sure to choose a low writing speed to increase reliability in the future and that's it.

UltraISO keeps showing me "Error setting write mode". I can't burn images. What is this problem and how to fix it?

R
Svar fra Robert Polubinski

This is a problem caused by the AHCI driver installation. To fix it, you will have to manually install the chipset drivers for your motherboard. Access the manufacturer's website of your motherboard and then download and install the AHCI or the chipset drivers.

After the drivers have been installed properly, reboot the PC and then repeat the process. It should work normally and the burn procedure will complete in the given time.

How to select image formats in UltraISO? It keeps selecting CD for me.

R
Svar fra Robert Polubinski

If you know you have an image format that's supported by UltraISO, then open the application and go to File > Open. Using this dialog, browse to the folder where the file is located. You can let the filter show all image files, but if you know the image file type you have, click the drop-down menu and select it from the list, then browse to its location. If the image is OK, UltraISO will open it and display its contents. Use the tree menu on the left to browse through directories.

Can we write ISO image files to a USB stick instead of a DVD?

J
Svar fra Julia Bocchetta

Yes, you have the possibility to write ISO/bootable images directly to the USB stick. To do this, open the application then go to File > OPen. Choose the image and then access Bootable > Write disk image. Choose the DISK, then select USB-HDD+ > Format > Write. Depending on the ISO image, the process might take a while.

After it's finished, reboot the PC, press the Boot Selection Key then go to HDD > USB Stick's NAME.

Do I need to install special drivers for my system to write ISO on a physical disk in UltraISO?

R
Svar fra Robert Polubinski

No, UltraISO doesn't need special drivers. The application can create and store ISO files directly on your hard drive without installing any other components. This is a native feature provided by application. As long as Windows installed generic drivers for your CD/DVD-RW, UltraISO will write images to physical discs based on your preferences.

Open UltraISO, press F7, then select the ISO image, insert the compatible CD/DVD and click Burn. Choose writing speed and writing method if you want to customize it further.

How to convert a .dmg image into ISO?

R
Svar fra Robert Polubinski

Since UltraISO directly supports opening the DMG file, you can also convert it to other image file formats. To do this, go to Tools > Convert. A new window will appear. In the first field (as indicated in the image below), select and browse to where the DMG file is stored. Make sure the Input Directory option is checked.

Choose the output image file and that's it.
